Core

Also known as: Core Muscles, Core Strength

What is Core?

The group of muscles in the abdomen and lower torso responsible for body stability and control of movement on the pole.

Longer Explanation

The core muscles include the abdominal muscles, lower back, and hip area, and they are involved in almost every move on the pole, especially inverts and moves that require controlled lifting of the legs.

A strong core makes it possible to maintain correct technique, reduce strain on the shoulders and back, and move between moves more smoothly and safely.
